Hurt in a Car Accident and Don’t Have Health Insurance

I was hurt in a car accident and don’t have health insurance. Am I stuck with these bills? If you are injured in a car accident in Massachusetts the Personal Injury Protection statute (PIP), Massachusetts General Law 90, § 34 determines how your medical bills will be paid. If you do not have health insurance, PIP will cover up to $8,000.00 in medical bills caused by an auto accident. This would apply even if you were a passenger and do not have a vehicle of your own.
