Why Fix a Chipped Tooth?

There are many people I know who have chipped teeth or cracked teeth and simply do not do anything about it. Going to school with a lot of hockey players, chipped teeth were a common injury, and were also commonly ignored. What my friends failed to realize at the time were the severe, long-term consequences of failing to face old injuries. Just like a strained ligament, an untreated fracture, or even an old cut that refuses to heal, the condition of chipped or broken teeth worsens over time. A chip in a tooth is merely the tip of the iceberg. Just a small piece of missing enamel can result in structural problems with your tooth, and can lead the way for more chips or cracks in your tooth down the road.
